Two Rivers Park Community Garden Drone
Two Rivers Community Garden (2018/06/07)

Over the years, I have loved riding past the community garden at Two Rivers Park. Located along the western side of the River Trail, it makes for a nice scenic stretch on the way to the Pinnacle Mountain area and always has a number of people working outdoors. Living in an apartment has made having a garden impossible, so we finally took the plunge this year and got a plot at the community garden. Working outdoors after work in the evenings has let us experience some great sunsets along the river, so I decided to drag the drone out to shoot a bit of footage showing the area around the gardens. Take a look!

2018 Little Rock Central Arkansas Friends of Midsouth Greyhound Adoption Option MSGAO Greyhounds
Central Arkansas Friends of Midsouth Greyhound Adoption Meetup @ Rivermarket (2018/05/19)

Today, the Central Arkansas Friends of Midsouth Greyhound Adoption Option held a meeting for greyhound owners at the Rivermarket. We gathered to meet up with fellow owners and to allow others to see that greyhounds are fantastic pets that are easily accessible to Central Arkansas residents. We had a great (greyt?) turnout today near the farmer’s market, with a great show of interest from many people. I snapped a few photos of our group… since who can go to a gathering of greyhounds and not take a bunch of cute pictures?

2018 Crosswinds Cross Winds Classic Little Rock Arkansas Road Cycling Race
Cross Winds Classic 2018 (2018/02/18)

Sunday I attended the Cross Winds Classic race that was sponsored by Central Arkansas Velo (CARVE), which was roughly 20 minutes east of Little Rock’s downtown area. Staging and parking was at the Stone Links subdivision club house parking lot, which was fairly packed out by the time the races were really rolling. The course was a 12.8 mile loop that was extremely flat and open, but the wind was relatively low that day so the ‘cross winds’ weren’t unbearable 😉 By means of the smooth talking of a friend, I was able to hop in the back bed of a wheel truck (better hold on!) and get some great shots of one of the earlier women’s race, as well as the standard fare sideline shots. Aside from a number of wrecks, the race was a huge success and I can’t wait for next year!

Event at the State Convention Center Event (2018/01/20)

This past weekend, I was lucky to be asked to help shoot for a large event that was being photographed by Bob Black-Ocken. The event was shot at the State House Convention Center, where we had three photo areas set up to shoot portraits of attendees as they arrived. Bob provided everything but the camera, allowing me to put my hands on some fairly serious equipment! The event turned out great, and fun was had by all! Bob is experienced in all genres of photography, and shoots in the Central Arkansas area and beyond.

Arkansas Cross Boss! Race #4 @ Boyle Park (2017/12/16)

Last weekend, Cross Boss held their fourth and final race of the season at Boyle Park, signalling the end of the second year of a sweet cyclocross series. The course was similar to last year’s course at the same location, but there were a few notable changes. First, most of the uphill sections that required crossing the road were removed; only one section remained across the road this year. The southern end was also shortened up a bit. Below is a GPS track of the course, along with the event pictures.
